Hotel: Scenic Suites & Heartland Hotel Queenstown 
Location: 27 Stanley Street, Queenstown 9300
Employment Type: Full-time permanent position.
Hours of Work: Guaranteed 40 hours per week, on a rotating roster, including weekends from Monday - Sunday.
Wage Rate: $30 -$31 per hour

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Chef de Partie ready to step into a hands-on role within a small, professional team.
 
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Preparation, cooking and serving of food for service.
• Preparation, cooking and serving of staff meals.
• Ensuring that all food is served and stored at the correct temperature to meet hotel standards and kitchen guidelines.
• Clean and sanitise work areas, equipment, utensils and dishes.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during service and support colleagues where needed.
• Follow all sanitation and hygienic food handling procedures set out by legislation and hotel policy.
• assist with any additional duties required by the Head Chef or Hotel Manager.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• A minimum of 2-3 years experience in a senior kitchen role preferred.
• A certificate at NZQF Level 4, or higher, in Cookery.
• A current Food Handling Certificate.
• Passion for food and dedication to delivering high-quality dishes.
• Flexible in availability to work rotating roster 
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn, and a strong team player mindset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
