Hotel: Scenic Suites & Heartland Hotel Queenstown 
Location: 27 Stanley Street, Queenstown 9300
Employment Type: Full-Time permanent position.
Hours of Work: Guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week, on a rotating roster, including weekends from Monday - Sunday. 
Shift Times: 3pm - 10:30pm/11:00pm (possibility to pick up extra breakfast shifts in the restaurant) 
Wage Rate: $27 - $29 per hour

As a Bar Attendant, no two days are the same. You’ll be based in our lively bar area, serving food, coffee, and alcoholic beverages to a wide range of guests. Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Greet guests in the lobby bar area and take drink and food orders in a friendly and professional manner.
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, wine, beer, and cocktails.
• Engage with guests to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
• Provide recommendations and answer questions about our beverage selection.
• Maintain the bar area, ensuring it’s clean, well-stocked, and inviting at all times.
• Ensure tables are cleared and reset for new guests
• Collaborate with kitchen staff, and other team members to ensure seamless service and efficient operations.
• Assist with bar setup and pack down, including restocking fridges and rotating stock.
• Collecting payments from sales and operating the point of sale system and cash register.
• Assist with additional duties reasonably required by the Food & Beverage Operations Manager.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• 2 year's experience in a similar role within a restaurant and bar operation.
• Experience in cocktail-making is preferred.
• Barista skills would be an advantage.
• Ability to upsell drinks or make recommendations politely and effectively
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Excellent customer service skills. 
• Flexible in availability. 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
