Hotel: Legacy Airedale Hotel Auckland
Location: 380 Queen Street, Auckland CBD 
Employment Type: Full-Time Fixed Term position.
Dates: Starting December 2025 - finishing end of March 2026
Hours of Work: Guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week, on a rotating roster, including weekends from Monday - Sunday.
Wage Rate: $28 - $30 per hour

The Duty Manager role offers variety and is vital in ensuring the smooth and effective running of our Front Office department. This position requires a can-do attitude, great people skills, and the ability to work within a diverse team

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership in the Front Office department, including the supervision, and oversight of Front Office shifts.
• Support training and onboarding of new Front Office team members.
• Meeting and greeting guests, and managing guest reservations.
• Handle guest queries, complaints, and incidents promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Oversight of security of the hotel property, and reporting any incidents or concerns to Management.
• Ensuring the requirements under the Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act and Scenic Hotel Group's host responsibilities are being met by all team members.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage teams to ensure smooth guest experiences.
• Assist with any other duties reasonably required by the Front Office Manager or General Manager. 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• 2-3 years of Front Office experience in a hotel environment 
• An LCQ qualification, and a current Managers Certificate required.
• A current First Aid certificate.
• A full NZ Drivers licence is required.
• Flexible in availability 
• Ability to resolve guest complaints professionally.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
