The Maintenance Assistant role offers an exciting opportunity for the experienced trades professional looking for some part-time work. 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Fit and able to perform a variety of physical activities
• Handle routine maintenance issues
• Painting and maintaining the interior and exterior surfaces of the hotel.
• Handling minor repairs and maintenance tasks in guest rooms, such as changing light bulbs, and adjusting room fixtures etc.
• Weeding & spraying carparks, edging and garden beds
• Mowing lawns around buildings
• Communicate with hotel departments regarding maintenance needs
• General building and grounds maintenance including assisting with regular checks and repairs as required.
• Painting and maintaining the interior and exterior surfaces of the hotel.
• Collaborating with our Maintenance Manager to contribute to the overall improvement of our hotel facilities.
• Assist with other duties as directed by Maintenance Manager

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Our ideal candidate will have basic maintenance skills, grounds-keeping experience, and be practically minded.

• Prior experience with building repairs / maintenance
• Relevant trade qualification (preferred but not essential)
• Current First Aid Certificate (preferred but not essential)
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and in writing).
