Hotel: Scenic Hotel Te Pania
Location: 45 Marine Parade, Napier South, Napier 4110
Employment Type: Fixed-term seasonal contract
Hours of Work: Guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week, rotating roster, including weekends.
Shifts: 6:00am - 11:30am and 2:00pm - 10:00pm 
Dates: Seasonal role from September 2025 to March 2026
Wage Rate: $25 - $26 per hour

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the day-to-day operation of teams in the Food & Beverage department, including making sure team members understand their allocated tasks.
• Providing supervision, training and guidance to Food & Beverage Attendants.
• Greeting and seating guests. Taking orders and relaying them to the kitchen and bar staff.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Communicate daily specials, promotions, and relevant information to the team.
• Taking a proactive approach to sanitising and cleaning the restaurant.
• Collecting payments for sales and operating the point of sale system and cash register.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• 2-3 years of proven Food & Beverage experience
• An LCQ qualification and a relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality or related field would be an advantage.
• Must be available to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, with full availability required over the Christmas and New Year period.
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
