Location: 4237 State Highway 6, Punakaiki 7873
Employment Type: Full-time permanent position.
Hours of Work: Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week, on a rotating roster, including weekends.
Shifts: Morning (7am - 3pm) and Evening (3pm - 10pm)  
Wage Rate: $25-$27 per hour

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Meeting and greeting guests, and managing the process of checking guests in and out of the hotel, including verifying identification, processing payments, and providing room keys.
• Assisting with reservations on a day-to-day basis.
• Handling phone calls and emails, taking messages, and responding to guest inquiries or concerns 
• During the off-peak winter season you will be assisting in the housekeeping team. 
• Providing information on local attractions, dining options, transportation, and other services.
• Handling guest complaints or escalating them to the appropriate department for resolution.
• Ensuring that reception and public areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Performing administrative tasks such as receiving and sorting mail.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a front office environment. 
• An LCQ qualification, and a current Managers Certificate would be beneficial.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality or related field would be an advantage.
• An aptitude to learn new computer systems.
• Available to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Own vehicle and driver's licence required.
