Orchard ELC Bradbury is a brand new center which offers a fresh approach to early learning, drawing on the natural environment to inspire children to become discoverers, learners and thinkers – holistically preparing them for a life of learning and wellbeing. The Centre operates from 6.30am - 6.30pm.  
  
The Role

The primary role of the Kitchen Hand is to assist the Head Chef in preparing 5 meals a day for up to 104 children and be in the day-to-day operation of the centre's kitchen. 

Full time 5 days - MUST HAVE FULL TIME WORKING RIGHTS

Duties will include: 

• Cleaning duties across the centre & kitchen as requested by the Head Chef
• Uppack deliveries 
• Ensure that all food is stored, prepared and served in a safe & hygienic environment
• Knife skills
• Assisting in preparation and cooking nutritional meals (qualification dependent)

Essential Criteria 

• Certificate in Safe Food Handling (preferable)
• Must hold or be working towards a hospitality or cookery qualification
• Must have full time working visa
• Working with Children Check
• The ability to work at a fast pace to keep a busy kitchen moving
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand in a large commercial kitchen is highly regarded
