Sustainability – Paddock to Plate – RIE & Risky Play
Orchard Early Learning Centre Kirrawee offers a fresh approach to early learning, drawing on the natural environment to inspire children to become discoverers, learners, and thinkers – holistically preparing them for a life of learning and wellbeing. The Centre operates from 6.30am - 6.30pm, and is split across two distinct floors, nursery, and preschool with designated areas for play and learning, a state-of-the-art designed building, and fantastic staff support. We are located a short walk from Kirrawee train station and opposite South Village on Oak Road in Kirrawee.
We are recruiting for the following leadership roles for Kirrawee:
Nursery Room Leader Role 1-2- Full time
Toddlers 2-3 Preschool Room Leader Role- Full time
What we expect from our Room Leaders:
- Previous experience as room leader
- Excellent understanding of current early childhood practice that is informed by the Early Years Learning Framework
- Understanding of current pedagogical thinking and research
- Demonstrated theoretical and practical knowledge of child development and play
- Experience in guiding children’s behaviours
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skill, including documentation skills
- Understanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene, and nutritional needs
- Commitment and skill in providing quality and appropriate experiences and inviting learning environments for children
- Knowledge of the National Quality Standards and the implications for centres

The person we are looking for: - ECT qualification in Early Childhood Education, or other recognised qualification by ACECQA (experienced Cert III are welcome to apply)
- Holds a WWC check, current first aid and CPR qualification
- Have recently completed a child protection course
- Have Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skill, including documentation skills
- Have knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
- Is commitment to early years learning and best practice
- Is experienced working in long daycare
- Has a great attitude and work ethics, is a problem solver, and a great team player
- Displays a passion for our service philosophies
