Pearl Recruitment is currently seeking a QA/QC to join our client in a newly created position.
 
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in construction, quality assurance, compliance, safety, building or site-based inspections who is looking for an autonomous role with plenty of variety.
 
Based in Osborne Park, you'll be responsible for visiting residential properties across the Perth metropolitan area, from Yanchep through to Mandurah, inspecting works completed by external builders and ensuring the required scope and quality standards have been met.
 
You do not need a plumbing background for this role. What's important is your ability to understand requirements, assess completed works, identify issues, accurately document your findings and confidently communicate with tradespeople and homeowners.
 
About the Role
Your day will be split between site inspections and administration/reporting.
You'll attend scheduled residential sites, meet with tradespeople, inspect completed works, take photographs and complete digital checklists and reports using BuildX.
 
You'll be looking at residential works, including installed pipework, and reporting back on your findings.
 
The role is highly self-managed. Bookings Officers will organise your appointments, while you will be responsible for attending the sites, completing your inspections and managing your workload for the remainder of the day.
 
Depending on locations, you could visit up to 6 sites per day.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Attend scheduled residential sites and inspect completed works
• Assess external builder works against required scopes and standards
• Conduct site inspections and document findings accurately
• Take photographs and complete digital checklists
• Prepare clear and detailed reports using BuildX
• Identify and report defects, issues or works that do not meet requirements
• Meet with tradespeople on site and discuss works where required
• Professionally answer questions from homeowners and renters
• Manage your own daily schedule, administration and reporting
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety and compliance

About You
We're looking for someone who is confident, organised and self-sufficient, with the ability to work independently and manage their own day.
 
You'll need:

• Strong attention to detail
• Good administration and report-writing skills
• The ability to follow processes, checklists and requirements
• Confidence dealing with tradespeople, homeowners and renters
• Good computer and technology skills
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple appointments
• A practical and common-sense approach to identifying issues
• A current driver's licence

A plumbing background is not required, and previous experience specifically inspecting plumbing works is not essential. The right person will be provided with training on the technical requirements of the role.

• Salary $90,000 - $95,000 + super
