Pearl Recruitment Group is partnering with a respected Perth CBD engineering consultancy servicing the mining, mineral processing and materials handling sectors to appoint a Project Engineer, with Senior and Lead-level candidates also encouraged to apply.

What will the role see you responsible for?  
Working with project managers, engineers, clients and senior leaders, you will help plan and deliver mining and mineral processing projects.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Planning project scope, budgets, schedules, resources and quality requirements.
• Coordinating engineering activities and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Monitoring costs, timelines, progress and project risks.
• Helping prevent budget overruns and project delays.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Preparing project reports, forecasts and progress updates.
• Ensuring engineering work meets client requirements and relevant standards.
• Supporting procurement, construction, commissioning and project close-out.
• Providing leadership and guidance to project teams at Senior or Lead level.
• Improving project planning and delivery processes.

  
What do you require to be successful? To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Approximately 5–10 years’ engineering and project delivery experience across mining, resources, mineral processing, materials handling or heavy industry projects (ideally within EPCM environment). 
• Proven experience managing project scope, budgets, schedules, resources and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong cost control, risk management and stakeholder communication skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Project management qualifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 will be highly regarded but are not essential.
