Based in the northern suburbs of Perth, our client is a highly regarded manufacturer and service provider of industrial mining and bulk materials handling equipment, supporting operations across Australia and internationally.
Due to continued growth and expansion within their service division, they are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. If you enjoy a varied role combining local work, occasional site travel, technical problem solving and client engagement this is a fantastic opportunity for you!
The Role: As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in delivering field service support, supervising service works, and maintaining strong client relationships across mining operations. Key duties will include:
- Workshop-based work in Perth along with occasional travel to mine sites across Western Australia, interstate and overseas as required (this is not a fixed FIFO roster)
- Build strong relationships with site personnel to support service delivery and identify additional work opportunities
- Conduct detailed audits of equipment to identify service opportunities and support accurate quotation preparation
- Supervise service work on OEM and targeted third-party equipment
- Perform hands-on service work during breakdowns and shutdowns, independently or leading a team
- Commission equipment and oversee installation works
- Troubleshoot and fault-find mechanical and hydraulic systems to identify root causes and implement solutions
- Prepare scopes of work, standard operating procedures, and detailed service reports with recommendations
- Develop and deliver customer training on equipment both on-site and in classroom environments
To be successful, you will ideally hold the following: - Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Mechanical / Hydraulic Fitter (and recognised Australian trade certificate)
- Previous supervisory or leading hand experience
- Proven mine site experience within Australia dealing with hydraulic control systems and fixed plant equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and ability to read technical drawings
- Fantastic interpersonal, organisation, written reporting and problem-solving skills
- Competency with computers and ERP/CRM systems
- Current C Class driver’s licence
- Ability to pass a medical and drug and alcohol assessment
