Pearl Recruitment is partnering with a well-established WA-based full service engineering maintenance company who is looking for a Workshop & service Manager. This is a senior leadership role overseeing workshop and field service operations within a technically specialised environment.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will take full ownership of operational performance across the workshop and service division, with responsibility for people leadership, workflow, service delivery, safety, and financial outcomes.
This role suits an experienced workshop or service manager who is confident leading multi-skilled teams and driving performance in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage workshop and service teams, including supervisors, technicians, and support staff
- Set clear performance expectations, KPIs, and operational targets across workshop and field service functions
- Oversee day-to-day workshop operations, including scheduling, job allocation, and workflow management
- Ensure efficient use of labour, equipment, and materials to meet turnaround and service targets
- Implement, maintain, and improve SOPs to ensure consistent service quality and safety standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, managing escalations and service issues as required
- Work closely with internal sales, parts, and project teams to deliver integrated service outcomes
- Monitor budgets, costs, productivity, and profitability across the workshop and service division
- Prepare operational and performance reports for senior management
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, performance, and customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example across all operations
About you: You will bring solid experience managing workshop or service teams within a mechanical, hydraulic, or heavy equipment environment. A strong technical background is essential, with hydraulics experience highly regarded.
You are an established leader who understands how to balance operational demands with people management. You communicate clearly, make sound decisions, and are comfortable being accountable for performance, profitability, and service standards.
Key Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 8-10+ years' experience in workshop or service environments
- Minimum 5 years in a management or senior supervisory role
- Strong technical background in mechanical servicing or heavy equipment
- Proven experience managing budgets, KPIs, and operational performance
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer engagement skills
- Ability to pass a full medical/drug & alcohol test
- National Police clearance or willing to obtain
- Full Australian Unrestricted Working Rights
