Based in the northern suburbs of Perth, our client is a highly regarded manufacturer of industrial mining and processing equipment. By way of business growth and expansion, they now have an opportunity for an experienced WHSE Coordinator / Manager to join their growing team.

The Role: As the WHSE Coordinator / Manager, you will be responsible for leading the ongoing development and improvement of workplace health, safety, and environmental systems, ensuring alignment with legislation, regulations, and internal frameworks. Your duties will include:
- Act as the main contact for WHSEQ matters, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures
- Maintain safety systems and documentation, including incident, hazard, and quality registers, SDS, and reports
- Lead or support investigations and ensure timely close-out of corrective and preventative actions
- Deliver WHSEQ inductions and training; facilitate toolbox talks and safety committee meetings
- Conduct audits, inspections, and spot checks to verify compliance and drive improvements
- Support the review and updating of WHSEQ policies, procedures, and registers
- Collaborate with operations and project teams to integrate WHSEQ into planning and site activities
- Track and report on WHSEQ performance metrics; assist with admin and documentation as required
- Promote a positive, safety-first culture and continuous improvement across the business
Requirements: To be successful for this position, you will have the following:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a WHSE coordination / Manager position, ideally within the Transport or Industrial Machinery
- Certificate IV in Occupational Safety and Health (or equivalent)
- Well-developed planning, interpersonal, and organisational abilities
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships, provide sound WHSE advice, and handle confidential information with discretion
- Good understanding of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act 1994 and Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 (ideally)
- Current and valid driver’s licence (Manual)
- Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia
