Job Title: HR Advisor / Generalist
Location: West Perth (with occasional site travel - short visits, not FIFO)
Salary: $100, 000 - $130, 000 + super (depending on experience)

The Role
We're seeking an experienced, hands-on HR Advisor to work closely with the HR Manager, supporting operational and site-based teams as part of a collaborative and practical HR function.  This is a broad generalist role with a strong operational focus, covering the employee lifecycle including onboarding and contracts through to training coordination, reporting, and recruitment support. 
 
This role will suit someone who takes a considered, structured approach to HR and is comfortable working through matters logically and objectively.  While you'll occasionally assist with employee relations matters, the role is primarily focused on day-to-day HR operations and people processes rather than complex or high-risk case management. 
 
You'll be trusted to manage your workload independently, provide clear and factual advice to stakeholders, and contribute to a stable and consistent HR presence across the business.  For the right person, this role offers an excellent opportunity to continue developing and progress into a future 2IC position.
 
Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding and pre-employment compliance across multiple projects. 
• Prepare employment contracts, including IR-compliant documentation.
• Support training coordination, workforce development, and records management. 
• Assist the Recruitment and Mobilisation teams during peak periods. 
• Maintain HR systems and documentation, and contribute to HR reporting. 
• Provide clear, consistent advice to operational leaders on policies, contracts, and people-related matters. 
• Support low-risk employee relations tasks (e.g. note-taking, drafting correspondence, policy clarification). 
• Travel to site occasionally for HR support and relationship building.

About You

• Minimum 3 + years experience in a HR Advisor or Generalist role. 
• Sound working knowledge of HR fundamentals, including onboarding, contracts, compliance, and training coordination. 
• Comfortable supporting operational or site-based workforces (mining, civil, or blur-collar environments highly regarded). 
• Known for a calm, structured, and practical approach when dealing with people matters. 
• Confident in providing balanced, factual guidance to frontline and operational leaders. 
• Well-organised, methodical, and able to prioritise effectively in a busy environment. 
• A team player who's motivated to grow and step into a future HR 2IC-type role. 
• Experienced using HRIS and onboarding systems is advantageous. 
• HR qualifications, such as a Certificate IV, Diploma, or Degree in Human Resources (or a related field).
