Pearl Recruitment is seeking an experienced Civil Labourer and a Civil QA Labourer to join our client based in North of the River, specialising in civil construction projects and electrical service installations. Both roles are ongoing, with an immediate start and genuine long-term progression on offer.
  
Gnangara Starting Location
Monday to Friday, Typically 6:00am – 4:00pm
$35.00hr + Super + Penalties
Typically 45 hrs Weekly + Occasional Saturdays

Civil Labourer
What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting machine operators with installing water, gas, power and NBN conduits.
• Using hand tools such as measuring tapes, string lines, hammers and bars for accurate service installation.
• Completing general labouring duties including shovelling, trenching and digging.
• Supporting drainage crews with pipes, pits and service installation tasks.
• Operating self-propelled plate compactors to prepare and compact work areas.

 
Civil QA Labourer 
What you’ll be doing:

• Conducting site inspections to identify defects, non-conformances and deviations from plans.
• Supporting the QA Superintendent to ensure quality standards and documentation are met.
• Checking excavation, trenching and service installations comply with project specifications.
• Assisting machine operators with installing water, gas, power and NBN conduits.
• Using hand tools (tapes, string lines, hammers, bars) to support accurate installations.
• Performing general labouring duties including shovelling, trenching and digging.
• Operating self-propelled plate compactors to maintain required ground conditions.

What Do You Need For Either Role? 

• Previous experience in civil construction, NBN installation or general labouring.
• Ability to use a range of tools and equipment including shovels, measuring tapes, string lines, hammers and bars.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport to get to the depot each morning (manual licence highly regarded).
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol assessment.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
• Good physical fitness and willingness to undertake manual labour.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements: hard hat, hi-vis, longs, steel-caps and gloves.
