Finance Manager / Management Accountant
Central Perth Location 
$135,000 - $150,000 + superannuation

Our client is a fast-growing engineering and consultancy business delivering complex, high-value projects across Australia. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Finance Manager / Management Account to take ownership of the company’s financial operations and partner closely with the Managing Director and leadership team.

This is a senior, hands-on role suited to a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys operating in a dynamic, project-driven environment.

The Role Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the delivery of financial and accounting services for the business. Duties will include: 

• Lead end-to-end finance and accounting operations, ensuring strong governance, controls and compliance
• Provide commercial and financial guidance to senior leadership
• Manage statutory obligations including BAS, FBT, payroll tax, superannuation and financial reporting
• Deliver accurate month-end, year-end and regulatory reporting in line with IFRS and Australian standards
• Prepare management accounts, project financials and commercial analysis
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis across corporate and project operations
• Support project accounting including WBS, cost control and margin tracking
• Partner with project and cost control teams to drive commercial performance
• Oversee payroll, reconciliations and cashflow forecasting
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors and regulators
• Identify and manage financial risk
• Implement scalable financial systems, reporting frameworks and best-practice processes

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. CPA or CA qualification highly advantageous. 
• Experience in an EPCM, EPC, engineering or consultancy environment (highly regarded)
• Experience working with ERP and financial systems
• Advanced Excel capability and experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to apply regulatory and statutory requirements while maintaining best-practice accounting, governance and project finance (WBS) standards.
• Proven ability to provide financial leadership and commercial advice to senior stakeholders and executive leadership
• Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder skills, with a proactive, detail-focused and professional approach
