Pearl Recruitment are partnering with a leading engineering and manufacturing business who are seeking multiple Engineering Estimators for the new year. Our client is a well-established operation known for precision, reliability, and a strong focus on customer delivery. After continued growth they are relocating to a brand-new South of the River location in Perth.
  
Working closely with the Engineering Estimator Manager, Drafting, Procurement, and Operations, this position is responsible for converting customer enquiries into accurate, commercially robust, and production-ready costed work packages.
  
This role involves the following but is not limited to:
  

• Prepare clear, accurate quotes across catalogue items, rebuilds, repeat work, and standard RFQs
• Review drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and specifications to validate scope and cost drivers
• Apply approved pricing logic, catalogue rates, and contract pricing without deviation unless authorised
• Liaise with Procurement to confirm current supplier pricing, lead times, and terms
• Ensure all technical documentation is complete prior to quote submission
• Manage workflow to meet SLA targets
• Maintain accurate version control and records in ERP and quoting systems
• Escalate scope gaps, risks, or delays with recommended mitigation strategies
• Coordinate early with Operations to confirm feasibility and production capacity
• Participate in post-project reviews to improve future accuracy and efficiency

  
Key Requirements:
  

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in estimating, quoting, or a related manufacturing/engineering environment
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation
• Proven numerical accuracy with excellent attention to detail under time pressure
• Experience using ERP systems, Excel, and structured quoting tools
• Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of margin protection and risk
• Effective communicator, confident collaborating across multiple internal teams
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
• Commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the team
