Our client is a market leader in engineering and fabrication solutions for the mining and industrial sectors. Known for their innovation, quality, and customer-focused approach, the company provides a wide range of engineered safety and productivity products to some of Australia's largest mining operations.
Due to company growth, they are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their growing team in the southeastern suburbs on Perth.
The Role:
As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving new business growth while strengthening existing long-term client relationships. You will work closely alongside and be supported by engineering, drafting, sales, and production teams to provide fit for purpose, high-value solutions.
Key duties include:
- Building, nurturing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients across Mining, Manufacturing, Rail, Defence, Government and Maritime sectors.
- Supporting the execution and contributing to continuous improvement of the companies "Gold Standard" sales process.
- Working closely with multiple departments to interpret clients' technical requirements and provide accurate solutions.
- Preparing proposals, maintain CRM records, and provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Upholding the companies core values, representing them with professionalism, curiosity and a solutions-focused mindset.
About You: You're a strategic and relationship driven individual who thrives at uncovering new opportunities and helping customers solve complex problems. You're comfortable engaging at all levels of management, from site personnel to senior leadership, and enjoy collaborating with the technical teams to help turn ideas into solutions.
To be successful, you will bring: - 3 + years' experience in technical sales, business development, account management.
- Experience within the mining, industrial, fabrication, or engineering sectors (desirable).
- Previous experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Current driver's licence and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
