An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project Manager to lead a high-performing team on a major Load & Haul project at a large Rio Tinto site working on an 8:6 roster. This is a 12+ month project position with strong potential for extension and career growth.
 
You’ll be joining a well-supported operation with consistent work ahead, modern fleet, and an experienced leadership team already in place.
 
THE ROLE
As Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing a busy site operation focused on ore loading and haulage to secondary stockpiles. You’ll lead a large team across day and night shifts, maintaining a strong focus on productivity, safety, and quality.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver project targets across safety, productivity, and efficiency
• Manage daily staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and maintenance personnel
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Report progress to senior stakeholders and the client
• Address challenges proactively to maintain site performance

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in a Project Manager role or similar leadership capacity
• Strong background in mining or civil Load & Haul operations
• Confident managing people, safety, and operational KPIs on busy sites
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to lead a large crew in a 24/7 environment

YOUR TEAM & EQUIPMENT ON SITE 
You’ll be supported by a full workshop crew, experienced supervisors, engineers, and project admins. A back-to-back Superintendent is also in place to ensure seamless coverage across swings.

Equipment includes: CAT 992K Loaders, KOMATSU HD785-7 Haul Trucks, CAT 16M Grader & Water Trucks – Twin Steers.
