Located in North Perth, our client is a leading provider of custom-built equipment, spare parts, and support services to the mining industry. Due to continued growth and expansion, they are now looking to hire a proactive and hands-on Business Development Manager to manage their Pilbara clientele.

About the Role: As part of our Aftermarket Parts division, you’ll be responsible for supporting existing customers while proactively developing new business opportunities. You'll work closely with internal teams and clients to deliver tailored solutions, backed by a strong bonus incentive structure that rewards performance. This is a dynamic role where technical understanding, client engagement, and strategic sales execution come together. Key Responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the mining and bulk materials handling sectors
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company objectives
- Prepare and present quotes, tenders, and technical proposals
- Use CRM tools to manage pipelines, reporting, and client data
- Attend site visits, industry expos, and client meetings as required
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure successful delivery and ongoing support
- Stay informed on industry trends and product developments
About You: You're a confident communicator with a genuine ability to connect with people at all levels—from clients to executive leadership. You know how to "walk the talk," bringing credibility and professionalism to every conversation. Ideally, you’ll bring a solid understanding of the mechanical mining industry, allowing you to engage in meaningful, informed discussions that build trust and drive results. Other qualities and requirements include:
- Proven ability to manage key client accounts, develop new business opportunities and consistently meet sales targets
- Strong mechanical and technical understanding, with an aptitude for fixed plant engineering concepts (within mining or bulk material handling is advantageous)
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (with Microsoft Dynamics advantageous)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritise multiple objectives, and maintain exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven negotiation, tendering and sales ability
- Excellent personal presentation with a confident telephone manner and high literacy skills
