Your Role
We are searching for a well-rounded Senior Architect who can manage medium to large scale architectural projects and teams across a diverse range of sectors including, Commercial and Education.
We are looking for someone who will be able to lead projects through all phases, from design to construction, and who is interested in distinguishing themselves as a leader within our growing national practice.
This role will work closely with our senior leaders to establish strong relationships with clients, consultants and builders and contribute towards our business-wide business development plan.
We are ideally looking for a full-time, five-day-per-week candidate, but we are open to flexible hours for the right person, please share your preferences on your application.
Your Responsibilities
- Active role in the delivery and management of projects from all stages; concept design to contract administration.
- Managing the day-to-day operations of projects.
- Active role in building relationships with new clients and continuing relationships with existing clients.
- Leading and working in cohesive teams.
- Planning project delivery and resourcing with the leadership team.
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and other external stakeholders.
- Contributing to the ongoing development and mentoring of team members both in the office and the wider national Watson Young team.
About you - Minimum of 10 years of Architectural Design experience, preferably as a qualified or registered architect, in medium to large scale architectural projects.
- Experience in Commercial and Education sectors.
- Strong technical acumen and contract admin experience.
- Strong Revit and design software understanding in order to run project teams.
- Proven ability to manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously, including full tender and lump sum project deliverables.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to proactively manage client relationships, collaborate with consultants, and engage effectively with internal team members.
- To be eligible for this role you must live and be legally able to work in Australia.
