The Role:

• Day to day handling of a wide variety of cases including divorce, private children, non-molestation orders and financial relief
• Running own case load under supervision and being able to pick up cases part way through
• Attend court on directions hearings, first appointments and financial dispute resolution appointments
• Take instructions from clients, drafting documents and letters, conduct of matters on behalf of clients and work as part of the team
• A commitment to the development of the business and marketing activities
• Prepare Legal Aid applications and liaise with the Legal Aid Agency, as necessary
• To achieve personal targets in respect of fee income and recording of chargeable time and to assist in developing new opportunities and the range of services offered by the firm

• Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and excellent client care skills
• Proficient in charging for services and knowledge of the eligibility criteria for legal aid and fully conversant with legal aid rules
• Good written and verbal communication to deal with a broad range of clients and the willingness to provide the highest standard of client care
• Outstanding interpersonal and marketing skills with the ability to develop contacts for the firm
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and have strong decision-making skills
• Experienced in advocacy 
• Works in both financial issues on divorce and private children work 
• Experienced in drafting 
• Able to be self-motivated.
