Business Development Team Lead

London | Commercial Agency | Permanent | Full Time

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development professional to take the next step into a player-coach leadership role within a growing commercial agency.

You’ll remain hands-on with your own BD activity, while taking responsibility for developing the team, improving processes and driving new business across the wider business.

The Role

• Lead and support a team of Business Development Executives / Callers
• Remain hands-on with your own outbound activity and pipeline
• Set clear targets, KPIs and activity standards across the team
• Coach team members on prospecting, objection handling and appointment setting
• Develop new business opportunities across the commercial property market
• Identify target companies, occupiers and key decision-makers
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders across the property and occupier landscape
• Work closely with agency teams to convert BD activity into genuine instructions and opportunities
• Monitor performance, pipeline and conversion rates
• Help refine CRM processes, data quality and reporting
• Share market intelligence and identify opportunities for the wider agency
• Support the growth and development of junior BD talent

About You We’re looking for someone who has a strong track record in business development, outbound sales or commercial property, with the confidence to lead from the front.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a BD, BDE, telesales or commercial property environment
• Strong outbound and new business skills
• Experience managing, mentoring or coaching others
• A confident, consultative approach to conversations with senior decision-makers
• Strong understanding of the commercial property / occupier market
• A data-driven approach to pipeline and performance
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to balance individual performance with team leadership
