The Role(s):
You will be responsible for overseeing the cost management of high-end residential/commercial projects. You’ll collaborate closely with project teams, from pre-construction to completion, ensuring financial success across the board. Your role will involve not only managing costs and contracts but also mentoring junior team members to further develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of quantity surveying for luxury residential / complex commercial projects.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, manage tenders, and provide financial forecasting for a range of projects.
• Conduct cost analysis, risk management, and budget tracking throughout the lifecycle of each project.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their development.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring that projects remain on time and on budget.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor or strong estimation expertise in either luxury residential or commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand construction regulations and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, Cubit).
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to manage key relationships.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field (NZIQS membership a bonus).
• New Zealand working rights
