About the Role:

As an Intermediate QS, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through to final account. You'll work closely with the teams Project Managers and site teams to ensure accuracy, transparency, and accountability in all financial aspects of the build.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and submission of progress claims and variations.
• Measurement and estimating for tender and live projects.
• Subcontractor procurement, negotiation and contract administration.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and financial control.
• Managing final accounts and close-outs.
• Assisting with budgets and feasibility assessments.

What you’ll need to bring to the table:

• 3–6 years experience in quantity surveying within commercial construction.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Construction Management, Quantity Surveying).
• Strong understanding of NZS3910 and other standard forms of contract.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documentation.
• Proficient with Excel and estimating/QS software (CostX, Buildsoft etc. advantageous).
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-focused mindset.
