They are currently seeking an individual who is eager to advance their career and would be particularly keen to hear from someone who is interested in transitioning from hands-on work to Construction Supervisor (Project Management).
The position is centred in the Frankton office, with the scope of work encompassing the Lakes District area. As a client-facing role, the primary responsibility is to oversee and maintain strong relationships with the build teams and subbies.
The role will primarily operate out of the Queenstown Lakes District, with the key responsibility of ensuring that project(s) are completed within the specified timeframe to meet customer requirements. Additionally, the position will focus on maintaining profitability, adhering to construction standards and ensuring the health and safety of the project.
The role of the Construction Supervisor is to take a proactive approach to oversee all aspects of the construction project you will be working across.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Managing on-site construction by controlling sub-trades and ensuring that construction is carried out efficiently, to a high quality, and within the budget framework provided by the organization.
- Coordinating and maintaining on-site Health and Safety systems and procedures at the highest possible level to ensure the safety of workers and the environment.
- Developing and reviewing timelines as needed to ensure that the project is completed within the specified timeframe.
- Maintaining an open and communicative management style with clients, suppliers, and contractors, ensuring that everyone is working together effectively.
- Providing weekly progress reports that cover the budget and timeliness of the construction, supplier and sub-contractor performance, health and safety, and managing the walk-through process with clients to ensure that quality control standards are met during project handovers.
