My Client is a leading provider of comprehensive marine engineering services, specialising in driveline and mechanical systems. Our team of highly motivated and experienced marine engineers is dedicated to delivering efficient and innovative solutions to our clients. With senior staff collectively possessing over 50 years of experience in the marine engineering industry, we continue to develop our competencies and find innovative ways to solve complex marine engineering problems for our customers.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Marine Engineer/Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing marine engines and mechanical systems to ensure the optimal performance of our clients' vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair marine engines, including diesel engines and generators, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Perform general and preventative maintenance on various mechanical systems, including thrusters, propellers, and rudders.
• Conduct engine rebuilds and installations, adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during maintenance activities, including dry dock procedures.
• Perform specialised fabrication, machining, welding, and light fabrication tasks as required.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical skills and stay updated with industry advancements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and safety procedures.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Marine Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of marine engineering systems and machinery.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic machinery is highly desirable.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in mechanical or marine engineering are preferred.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and address mechanical issues effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
