About the client:
 
Our client is a well-established name in the interiors and fit-out industry, delivering high-quality ceiling and partitioning solutions across Auckland. With a strong pipeline of projects, we’re on the hunt for a Quantity Surveyor to join their epic team in Penrose and contribute to the success of their commercial interiors projects.
 
With ongoing growth, you’ll play a key part in managing project costs, procurement, and financial tracking to ensure the successful delivery of fit-out projects. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a keen eye for accuracy and cost control, we’d love to hear from you!
 
About the role: 
 
As a Quantity Surveyor within the Interiors space, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing accurate cost estimates, tenders, and budgets for fit-out projects.
• Managing subcontractor and supplier negotiations, ensuring best value procurement.
• Tracking project costs, variations, and ensuring profitability.
• Preparing and managing claims, ensuring timely payments.
• Building strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

To succeed, you'll need:

• Minimum 2+ years as a Quantity Surveyor in interiors, fit-outs, or commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of ceilings, partitions, and fit-out works.
• Proficiency in CostX, Excel, or other estimating tools.
• A relevant degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
• Attributes: Detail-oriented, excellent negotiation skills, and a proactive mindset.
