About the Company:

Our client is a respected construction consultancy specializing in client-side project delivery for commercial construction and interior fit-out projects. With a reputation for excellence and innovation, they are expanding their Auckland team and seek an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead high-value projects and contribute to their strategic growth.

The Role:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of commercial construction and fit-out projects, acting as the client’s trusted advisor. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage complex projects, foster client relationships, and drive operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead client-side project delivery for commercial construction and fit-out projects.
• Manage budgets, timelines, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with NZ building codes and H&S regulations.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for business growth.
• Mentor junior staff and promote a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Requirements:

• Experience: 8+ years in client-side project management within commercial construction or fit-outs.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Project, Procore, or similar tools; knowledge of NZ building standards.
• Education: Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, preferential. 
• Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or NZIQS preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
