A well-established Shore-based main contractor is looking for an experienced Residential Project Manager to join their team.

About the Role
This role will suit a capable Residential Project Manager who can confidently lead residential builds from planning through to completion. You will be responsible for coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, timelines, budgets and client communication to ensure every project is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
You will be working across residential projects including bespoke homes, renovations, investment developments and multi-unit builds, with the support of an experienced construction team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage residential construction projects from start to finish
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, materials and site resources
- Monitor project programmes, budgets, variations and quality standards
- Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants and internal teams
- Ensure health and safety requirements are followed across all sites
- Identify and resolve site issues before they impact delivery
- Drive projects to completion on time, within budget and to expected standards
About You
You will be organised, practical and confident leading people on site. You will understand the pressure points of residential construction and know how to keep projects moving while maintaining quality, safety and strong client relationships.
We are looking for someone with:
- Proven experience managing residential construction projects in New Zealand
- Strong understanding of residential building methods, sequencing and compliance
- Excellent subcontractor and supplier coordination skills
- Ability to read plans, manage programmes and track project costs
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
- Good knowledge of health and safety requirements
- A full New Zealand driver licence
