As an Intermediate Structural Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering technically sound and economically viable structural solutions across a range of projects. You'll work closely with our team and clients, lead small to large-sized projects. You will mostly be working independently, while provided guidance and supervision as required.
Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake structural analysis and design using concrete, steel, timber, and masonry
• Assist in the design, assessment, and coordination of temporary works solutions for construction projects.
• Deliver efficient and safe structural solutions for new builds, alterations, and seismic strengthening
• Prepare design calculations, reports, specifications, and drawing mark-ups
• Lead and manage small to large-sized projects from concept to completion
• Conduct site inspections and respond to construction queries
• Collaborate with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients
• Participate in design meetings and site visits

About You
You're a motivated engineer with a solid foundation in structural design and a passion for delivering high-quality work. You enjoy working collaboratively, solving problems, and growing your technical expertise.
Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 4-8 years of relevant experience in structural design, ideally within New Zealand and in residential and temporary works design sectors
• Temporary works experience is ideal
• Strong understanding of NZ building codes and standards
• Proficiency in structural analysis software
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit is a plus
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Physically fit and mobile for site visits
• Open work rights in New Zealand (ideally residence class visa)
• Valid NZ driver's license
