Junior Structural Engineer with practical New Zealand experience.
Our consultancy is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, New Zealand-owned engineering firm for a Junior Structural Engineer with practical New Zealand experience. This role suits an early-career engineer looking to develop strong technical skills while working on a variety of real-world projects in a supportive team environment.
The Role
You will support senior engineers in delivering efficient, safe and buildable structural solutions across multiple project types. This includes assisting with structural analysis and design, preparing calculations and reports, producing drawing mark-ups, attending site inspections and responding to construction queries, and working closely with architects, contractors and clients.
About You
You are a motivated Junior Structural Engineer who enjoys hands-on project involvement and collaborative working, and is keen to grow technically under experienced mentorship.
Key Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 2 years structural engineering experience in New Zealand
• Working knowledge of the NZ Building Code and relevant standards
• Experience using structural analysis software
• AutoCAD and/or Revit experience advantageous
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Full NZ driver licence and current NZ work rights
