Right now, we’re on the lookout for an experienced Project Manager with strong exposure in the vertical building space to join a thriving consultancy team based in Tauranga.

About the role:

This role is all about taking ownership of projects and delivering results. You’ll be leading from the front, working closely with clients, managing day-to-day requirements, and guiding teams through design, procurement, and contract management phases.

It’s a chance to be part of a team that’s passionate about optimising projects across multiple sectors, including Education, Health, Transport, and Infrastructure. You’ll be hands-on, visible, and central to making sure projects not only run smoothly, but also leave a positive mark on the communities they serve.

Responsibilities:

• Take charge of projects from start to finish, from design and procurement right through to delivery on site.
• Run project meetings with confidence, keeping everyone in the loop and things moving smoothly.
• Keep an eye on budgets, timelines, risks, and quality so nothing slips through the cracks.
• Work with contracts (NZS3910/3916) and make sure compliance is on point.
• Build great relationships with clients and support your team to deliver results you’re proud of!

What you’ll need to bring to the table:

• You’ve got 5+ years of experience in New Zealand’s building space (vertical or horizontal) and know how projects are run here.
• You’re confident managing projects end-to-end, stepping up independently but also happy to work with senior oversight when needed.
• You’re a strong communicator, written, verbal, and face-to-face, and can adapt your style to suit different people and situations.
• You’re comfortable running meetings, keeping risks in check, and making sure projects keep moving in the right direction.
• You bring a problem solving mindset, knowledge of NZS3910/3916 contracts, and a collaborative approach with the drive to keep growing your career.
