About the client:
Lynx Recruitment are partnered with a Main Contractor based in Auckland that focuses on commercial construction.

About the Role:

As an Intermediate QS, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through to final account.
 
You'll work closely with the teams Project Managers and site teams to ensure accuracy, transparency, and accountability in all financial aspects of the build.

This particular role is 50hrs per week as standard working hours - Site and office based, no work from home.


Responsibilities:

• Preparation and submission of progress claims and variations.
• Measurement and estimating for tender and live projects.
• Subcontractor procurement, negotiation and contract administration.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and financial control.
• Managing final accounts and close-outs.
• Assisting with budgets and feasibility assessments.

What you’ll need to bring to the table:

• 3/4+ years experience in quantity surveying within commercial construction.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Construction Management, Quantity Surveying).
• Strong understanding of NZS3910 and other standard forms of contract.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documentation.
• Proficient with Excel and estimating/QS software (CostX, Buildsoft etc. advantageous).
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-focused mindset.
