Project Engineer – Civil Infrastructure
 
We’re working with a respected civil contractor delivering technically challenging infrastructure projects across Auckland.
With strong forward workload and a collaborative team culture, they’re now seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support ongoing project delivery.
 
This is a hands-on, site-based role that will suit someone who thrives in complex environments and enjoys variety across water, wastewater, pump stations, pipelines, and structural works.
 
What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects
• Coordinating subcontractors, materials, and site activity
• Managing procurement, planning, and daily project logistics
• Ensuring QA, health & safety, and environmental compliance
• Collaborating with the Project Manager to report on progress and manage risk
• Problem-solving on the ground, with technical input and practical oversight

What we’re looking for:

• 4–5 years of site-based experience in New Zealand, ideally in a contractor environment
• Proven experience working on water and wastewater pipelines and/or pump stations
• Exposure to live, high-consequence water environments is a strong advantage
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Confident managing site crews and driving programme delivery
