Lynx Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading infrastructure contractor delivering specialised electrical and civil projects across the Auckland region. With a strong reputation in network services, ITS, and public infrastructure, this organisation is expanding its project delivery team and is now seeking a Project Manager with an electrical bias to lead works across a broad portfolio.

The Role
This role focuses on the management of electrically driven infrastructure projects, including Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), pit and ducting installations, pole and foundation works, and electrical service upgrades across civil environments.
Key responsibilities:
• Delivering end-to-end project management of electrical infrastructure works in urban and roading environments.
• Working closely with Supervisors and Foremen to develop project methodologies, monitor execution, and maintain safety and quality standards
• Coordinating subcontractors, materials procurement, and labour to meet program deadlines
• Overseeing site-based operations to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements
• Managing project financials including budgeting, cost tracking, purchase orders, progress claims, and monthly WIP reporting
• Conducting client meetings and maintaining strong stakeholder engagement
• Ensuring variations, claims, and documentation are submitted accurately and on time
• Driving improvements in site process, quality assurance, and delivery standards
What You’ll Bring
• 3+ years of project management experience in electrical or utility infrastructure
• Strong understanding of AS/NZS3910 contracts and field delivery
• Experience delivering projects such as ITS, streetlighting, ducting, cabling, poles, feeder systems, or LV/MV upgrades
• Confident working with suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams to keep projects moving
• Strong commercial acumen, comfortable running cost reconciliations, identifying risk, and managing variations
• Working knowledge of MS Project, Excel, and document control platforms
• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or similar is desirable
