Lynx recruitment is partnered with a well-established New Zealand drilling company with operations across the North Island is seeking experienced drillers to join its growing team. With projects ranging from geotechnical, water bore, geothermal, seismic, to oil and gas drilling, this role offers varied work across a wide range of sites and environments.
 
This is a great opportunity for drillers with at least one year of experience who are looking to step into a busy, long-term role with ongoing training and the chance to further develop their skills. You’ll need to be drug-free, physically fit, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Some travel within New Zealand may be required for certain projects, with additional benefits provided.
 
 
Positions are available for:

• Water Bore Drillers
• Geotech Drillers
• Specialist Drillers
• Experienced Drillers from other sectors looking for a change

The company is based in South Auckland, but projects span locations across the North Island.
 
Key Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year’s experience operating a drill rig
• Minimum Full Class 1 licence (Class 2–5 preferred)
• Must be drug-free (pre-employment drug screening required)
• Physically fit and capable of manual work
• Awareness and understanding of health and safety practices
• Mechanically minded with strong problem-solving skills
• Able to follow drilling plans and manage daily operations
• Capable of supervising and mentoring crew members
• Effective communication skills in English (spoken and written)
