Industrial Electrician & HVAC Technician Wanted – Invercargill

Bonus | Work Van + Phone | Relocation Support if Needed

I’m working with a well-established electrical contractor with a solid reputation across Southland and beyond. They’re looking to bring on:

• Industrial Electrician
• HVAC Technician (Heating & Cooling)

These are full-time, permanent roles based in Invercargill — ideal if you’re local or considering a move for a better lifestyle and long-term job security.

What’s on offer:

• $40–$45/hr, plus 1.4x overtime
• 5–6% annual bonus
• Regular pay and cost-of-living reviews
• Work van, phone, and full tool kit provided
• Relocation support if you're moving to Southland
• Meal & nightshift allowances (as needed)

About the Roles:

Industrial Electrician

• Maintain and install motors, switchgear, control panels, and PLCs
• Work across industrial sites – factories, food production, infrastructure
• Read and interpret electrical plans and ensure safety compliance
• NZ Electrical Registration + Current Practising Licence
• 2–5 years industrial experience
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Full NZ driver’s licence

HVAC Technician

• Install and service heat pumps, ducted systems, and AC units
• Handle commercial/industrial upgrades, servicing, and fit-outs
• Work alongside an experienced install/design team
• EST licence or EWRB registration is a bonus, but not essential
• Hands-on experience with heating, cooling & ventilation systems
• Confident with ducting and air con installs
• Full NZ driver’s licence
