Our Client:

A well-established commercial builder with a solid pipeline of Auckland projects is looking for an intermediate or senior Quantity Surveyor. The team values collaboration, trust, and getting stuck in. No egos—just a good crew doing great work.

The Role:

You’ll play a key role in managing project financials from tender to closeout. Depending on your experience, you could be running a design-and-build project from start to finish or managing staged remedial works on school sites.
Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with Project Managers and site teams to track budgets, manage variations, process claims, and keep everything moving on time and on cost. Strong communication and ownership are essential.

The Expectations & Experience Needed:

• 5+ years’ experience with NZ-based contractors (main contractor preferred)
• Strong across tendering, procurement, and financial reporting
• Confident managing head contract and subcontractor variations
• Comfortable working directly with PMs and on-site teams
• Ability to manage claims, budgets, and forecasting
• Solid understanding of NZ construction contracts and timelines
• Strong attention to detail and a solutions-focused mindset
• Proactive communicator who takes ownership and follows through
• Team player who contributes to a positive, practical site culture
