Position: Café Team Leader
Start: ASAP
Likely Duration: Full-time Permanent
Salary: $28.90 plus superannuation
Location: Port Macquarie & Kempsey (weekly or fortnightly)
  

Primary Purpose of the Position
The primary purpose of this role is serving customers, preparing food, cleaning, cash handling and following food hygiene standards. In addition to this, they are in charge of the store in the absence of the Store Manager, and at such times, are responsible for open and or closing procedures, banking, staff supervision, and delegation of tasks. When working concurrently with the Store Manager, the Team Leaders may be delegated an array of supervisory or ‘higher duties’ tasks by the Store Manager, including stock management and administration.
  
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Open and / or close the store.
• Undertake daily banking duties when delegated to do so.
• Supervise team members and delegate tasks where appropriate and necessary.
• Undertake adhoc ‘higher duties’ tasks such as stock ordering, administration, and rostering when delegated to do so.
• Train team members in store processes and procedures.
• Actively coach others in achieving Fresh+ standards.
• Report and communicate necessary information and feedback to the Store Manager regarding any and all aspects of store operations.
• Serve all customers in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Handle all monies and payments according to procedure and guidelines.
• Keep all work areas (interior and exterior) clean and tidy at all times and maintain clean equipment in accordance with Fresh+ procedures.
• Prepare and store products in accordance with Fresh + procedures.
• Role model impeccable personal grooming and hygiene at all times.
• Actively work as part of the Fresh+ and Hospital team, demonstrating teamwork and a commitment to quality service and positive representation of the Fresh+ brand.
• Comply with all workplace health and safety processes, guidelines, and best practice.
• Perform additional duties as reasonably requested from time to time.
• Role model adherence to all Fresh+ policies, procedures, and guidelines, as they exist or are amended from time to time, and ensure others do the same.

  
  
Expected working times are 38 hours per week Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend.  2/3 days opening and 2/3 days closing
  
  
Desirable Criteria

• At least 2 years’ experience in a food environment.
• Supervisory experience in a café outlet.
• Knowledge of busy food outlet operations with a focus on sales and service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility with work hours.
