Position: Café Supervisor
Start: ASAP
Likely Duration: Permanent Full-time
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per annum plus superannuation (depending on experience)
Location: Port Macquarie & Kempsey (weekly or fortnightly only)
  
 
Primary Purpose of the Position
The main purpose of this role is to support you Team Leader in maintaining the success of your business through the training and development of your team, maximising sales through effective rostering and stock management, and driving KPI’s.
  
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Take the lead in daily operations across both front and back of house, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
• Step up as the team’s guide, supervising and supporting staff in the absence of the Team Leader.
• Coach and mentor team members, helping them grow and reach their full potential.
• Lead by example, working alongside your team and inspiring excellence every shift.
• Play a key role in shift planning and preparation, keeping the store running seamlessly.
• Support stock management, ensuring everything is ready for a busy day.
• Handle essential daily administration to keep operations on track.
• Maintain top-tier food safety standards, ensuring compliance across the store.
• Uphold OH&S compliance, creating a safe and welcoming environment for all staff and customers.

   
Expected working times are open 6.00am, close 7.00pm - 38 hours per week Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend.  2/3 days opening and 2/3 days closing

Essential Criteria

• Food & Beverage/Hospitality background.
• At least 2-3 years' supervisory experience in a cafe or restaurant operation
• Sound Barista skills.
• Food preparation and presentation experience.
• Food Safety Supervisor certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
• Knowledge of food costing, labour and waste.
• Ability to understand financial reporting.
• Computer literacy with basic Microsoft products.
