Position: Finance & Revenue Officer
Start: ASAP
Likely Duration: Contract up to 21st November 2025.
Salary: $42.00 - $47.00 ph – depending on experience (including casual loading) plus superannuation
Location: Kempsey

Primary Purpose of the Position

Join our dynamic Financial Services and Revenue Teams, where your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will help drive key financial processes. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a variety of finance and administration duties while contributing to important milestones and targets across the organisation.
  
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update property and financial databases with accuracy and efficiency
• Prepare and process journal entries to support monthly financial reporting
• Manage land transfers and generate 603 Rating Certificates
• Process pension rebate claims with care and compliance
• Support the smooth running of accounts payable and receivable functions
• Complete timely and accurate bank reconciliations
• Maintain financial ledgers and perform key reconciliations
• Carry out a variety of administrative and accounting tasks as needed
• Provide high-level, professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Undertake other duties as required to support the wider finance team

Expected working times are 9.00am to 4.30pm 35 hours per week
     
Desirable Criteria

• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Highly organised with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
• A strong customer service focus and a proactive attitude
• Previous experience using accounting software
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Essential Criteria

• Certificate IV in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or a related field; or demonstrated equivalent experience in a similar finance role
• Current Class C Driver’s Licence
