Position: Chef/Cook
Start: ASAP
Duration: Permanent Full-Time or Permanent Part-Time
Salary: $33.96 to $36.09 per hour plus superannuation
Location: Stuarts Point NSW
 
Primary Purpose of the Position             
 
Our Client is looking for an experienced Chef/Cook to join their team on a permanent full-time or part-time basis. The successful candidate will have previous experience in catering to large groups of 150 plus during events and busy periods.
 
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Preparing and cooking meals for large groups and events
• Developing menus
• Kitchen management of all aspects including food preparation, quality and presentation
• Staff supervision for kitchenhands and other assistants
• Quality control ensuring a high standard of food hygiene and cleanliness in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Inventory management – monitoring inventory levels and conducting stocktakes, food orders and cost efficiency in terms of waste
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
• Ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests

 Essential Criteria

• Previous experience in a Chef or Cook position
• Part-time or full-time availability up to 38 hours per week
• Experience catering to large groups and events
• Strong work ethic with a can-do attitude
• Excellent communication skills and reliability
• Flexibility and ability to support in other areas where required
• Ability to work split shifts if required
