THE JOB:
In this role, you will operate and maintain milling equipment to ensure optimal efficiency and product consistency. Your day-to-day tasks will involve monitoring production processes, performing quality checks, maintaining hygiene standards, and collaborating with team members to achieve production targets. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging your expertise to enhance operational performance. This role will have you be responsible for:
- Operate and Maintain Equipment: Ensure milling equipment operates efficiently, maintaining consistent product quality and minimizing downtime.
- Collaborate for Success: Work closely with team members to achieve production targets and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Uphold Food Safety Standards: Perform hygiene tasks to meet and exceed high food safety and cleanliness requirements.
- Conduct Quality Testing: Assist in regular testing of wheat and flour to ensure compliance with stringent quality standards.
- Prioritise Workplace Safety: Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) protocols and promptly address or report any safety concerns.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Complete and manage all necessary documentation with precision and attention to detail.
The position involves shift work on a rotating roster and offers overtime opportunities.
ABOUT YOU:To excel in this role, you will need:
- Previous milling production experience and an understanding of grain processing.
- A High Risk Work (HRW) forklift licence (or the ability to obtain one before starting).
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Strong numeracy and English literacy skills.
- A proactive approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and an aptitude for learning new programs.
