Who are we looking for?

We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) to join our team in Goulburn, NSW. If you’re a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you’re the type of person we would like to welcome onboard.

Your role

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Line maintenance and heavy maintenance of aircraft - i.e. dismantling, inspecting, testing, and repairing various aircraft systems, including airframe and engine;
• Assembling parts and sub-assemblies of aircraft structure;
• Conducting routine servicing of aircraft, including component replacements and fluid servicing; 
• Conducting routine pre-flight inspections of engines and propellors, aircraft mechanical systems and structure; 
• Ensuring that all maintenance carried out is certified correctly, IAW CASA regulations.
• Replacement of mechanical components, including hydraulic actuators, engines and components, landing gear and flight controls; 
• Executing post-repair functional tests
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with technical documentation.

The essential requirements

• 3+ years mechanical/avionics experience on SAAB340 or Metro23 or Cessna441  (or similar type);
• Trade Certificate IV (Avionics) 
• Highly skilled and competent in aircraft avionics system troubleshooting, repair and installation of mechanical components; 
• Strong team player;
• Ability to follow supervisory direction;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Consistent positive and proactive attitude;
• Passion for safe work practices;
• Valid work visa;
• Red ASIC card (or ability to obtain); and,
• Current Australian Driver's licence.

Shifts will be primarily Monday to Friday day shifts, with some possible early/late & night shifts. 

Additional qualifications

We are specifically looking for candidates capable of committing to flexible working arrangements; further, please ensure that you are available to work in Goulburn, NSW before applying.
