Who are we looking for?
We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined NDT (Non-Destructive Testing Engineer) Level 2 and 3 to join our team in Hamilton, New Zealand. If you’re a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you’re the type of person we would like to welcome onboard.
Your role
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conduct and supervise NDT tests using PT, MT, ET, and UT methods.
- Interpret codes, standards, and specifications, ensuring accurate evaluations.
- Set up, verify, and maintain NDT equipment.
- Prepare and review written NDT procedures for Level 3 approval.
- Organize and report test results while ensuring regulatory compliance (NZCAA, EASA, FAA).
- Identify and implement process and system improvements.
- Provide training, mentorship, and certification support for NDT personnel.
- Participate in safety audits, hazard reporting, and compliance checks.
- Conduct annual reviews of NDT manuals and procedures.
- Oversee and deliver NDT training, exams, and certifications.
- Assist in NDT audits, non-conformance reviews, and risk assessments.
- Manage the NDT workshop, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Engage in external audits and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
The essential requirements - Certified Level 2 & 3 NDT Specialist with strong technical expertise.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Experience in regulated industries with safety and compliance focus.
- Ability to engage, negotiate, and manage key stakeholders.
- Safety-first mindset with a commitment to aviation standards.
