Who are we looking for?
We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical or Avionics) to join our team in Cairns QLD. If you’re a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you’re the type of person we would like to welcome onboard.
Brief Position Outline:
- You will be responsible for both planned and unplanned maintenance activities working on AW139 helicopters including:
- Inspections: scheduled and unscheduled inspections of aircraft systems, structures, and components to ensure airworthiness and compliance with regulations.
- Maintenance and Repair: Executing maintenance tasks, repairs, and replacements of aircraft parts and systems.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspection reports, repair logs, and compliance documentation, to ensure regulatory compliance and traceability.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other maintenance personnel, pilots, and regulatory authorities to coordinate maintenance activities and address safety concerns
- About You With a strong background in engineering rotary flight operations and a comprehensive understanding of civil aviation regulations, you will be a team player who is highly organised, with advanced troubleshooting skills and outstanding communication skills.
The essential requirements - Hold B1.3 or B2 certification
- Hold a Cert IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical or Avionics)
- Have prior experience working as a LAME on helicopters
- Have a working knowledge of PART 145 regulatory framework
- Have working knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and their maintenance requirements.
- Be familiar with aviation regulatory requirements and standards, particularly regarding airworthiness and maintenance control
- Have experience working within a Safety Management System
- Proven ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels within a team
- Be practical and resourceful with demonstrated organisational and problem-solving skills
- Be resourceful with a can-do attitude
- Have an AW139 type rating is desirable; however, we will also consider applicants without this qualification, provided they possess the required qualifications and experience.
Shift8 day on, 6 days off roster
