Who are we looking for?
We are currently looking for highly experienced and disciplined Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's (Mechanical or Avionics) and Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's (Mechanical or Avionics) to join our team in Adelaide, SA. If you’re a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you’re the type of person we would like to welcome onboard.
Initial 3 month contract only. Must be able to commit to the full 3 months. Potential for ongoing work as required.
Your role
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Dismantling, inspecting, testing, repairing and reassembling aircraft engines, ancillary components, accessories, and electrical systems;
- Conducting routine pre–flight checks and inspections of engines and equipment;
- Maintaining thorough records of actions taken;
- Assembling components, parts and subassemblies of aircraft engines and equipment, and;
- Testing, maintaining, replacing, and upgrading aircraft safety equipment.
The essential requirements
- Solid experience and understanding of heavy maintenance
- A proactive and POSITIVE attitude;
- Excellent mechanical hand skills, experience and quality;
Extensive troubleshooting skills; - Attention to detail;
- Ability to work to a time schedule;
Driven to succeed; - Willingness to learn;
- Passion for safety and working as part of a team;
- Passion for safe work practices;
- Valid work visa;
- Current Driver's licence.
The following will be highly regarded:
- Experience on SAAB 340
- Previous experience in a general aviation environment
- Current ASIC (or ability to obtain)
- CASA Part 66 License
