Who are we looking for?
We are currently looking for highly experienced and disciplined B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (Avionics) for a short term contract in Papua New Guinea If you’re a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you’re the type of person we would like to welcome onboard.
Your role
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Heavy maintenance of aircraft - i.e. dismantling, inspecting, testing, and repairing various aircraft systems, including airframe and engine;
- Assembling parts and sub-assemblies of aircraft structure;
- Conducting routine servicing of aircraft, including component replacements and fluid servicing;
- Install electrical circuits and equipment;
- Test aircraft communication equipment, aircraft instrumentation and electronic systems using electronic testing equipment and specialised apparatus;
- Replace and test aircraft oxygen system components;
- Ensuring that all maintenance carried out is certified correctly, IAW CASA regulations;
- Executing post-repair functional tests;
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with technical documentation.
The essential requirements - 3+ years avionics experience on ATR 72-212A;
- Trade Certificate IV (Aeroskills) Avionics;
- CASA PNG Licence (B2 Avionics) - ATR 72-212A;
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of line and hangar maintenance;
- Demonstrated experience on turboprop aircraft (preferably with ATR 72-212A);
- Highly skilled and competent in aircraft avionics system troubleshooting, repair and installation.
- Strong team player;
- Ability to follow supervisory direction;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Consistent positive and proactive attitude;
- Passion for safe work practices;
- Employment visa (ability to obtain); and,
- Current Passport
The following will be highly regarded:
- Experience with Turboprop Aircrafts
Shift 6 days on and 1 day off (3 days & 3 nights | 6am-6pm & 6pm-6am)
FIFO
Flights/accommodation/meals and transportation provided.
Duration Short term 3 month requirement commencing ASAP.
Additional qualifications
We are specifically looking for candidates capable of committing to flexible working arrangements; further, please ensure that you are available to work in PNG before applying.
