Who are we looking for?

We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) to join our team in Darwin, NT. If you’re a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you’re the type of person we would like to welcome onboard.

Your role

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Line maintenance and heavy maintenance of aircraft - i.e. dismantling, inspecting, testing, and repairing various aircraft systems, including airframe and engine;
• Assembling parts and sub-assemblies of aircraft structure;
• Conducting routine servicing of aircraft, including component replacements and fluid servicing; 
• Conducting routine pre-flight inspections of engines and propellors, aircraft mechanical systems and structure; performing aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance in accordance with the continuing airworthiness/maintenance data;
• Ensuring that all maintenance carried out is certified correctly, IAW CASA regulations. Including Safety and Quality Management Systems and the Approved Maintenance Organisation Exposition (AMOE);
• Replacement of electronic components, including hydraulic actuators, engines and components, landing gear and flight controls; 
• Executing post-repair functional tests;
• Identifying and reporting any issues found during the course of maintenance
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with technical documentation;
• Issuing certificates of release to service, including onboarding ASIC, AOD, and DAMP.

The essential requirements

• 3+ years mechanical experience on Cessna Conquest 441, Cessna Caravan 208B, Cessna 402C, Cessna 310R, Cessna 210 aircraft (or similar type);
• Trade Certificate IV (Avionics) and CASA Part 66 Licence
• Highly skilled and competent in aircraft modifications programs;
• Ability to follow supervisory direction;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Consistent positive and proactive attitude;
• Passion for safe work practices;
• Valid work visa;
• Red ASIC card (or ability to obtain); and,
• Current Australian Driver's licence.

Shifts will be primarily Monday to Friday - with 38 hours week with flexible working arrangements

We are specifically looking for candidates capable of committing to flexible working arrangements; further, please ensure that you are available to work in Darwin before applying.
